In a formal Chinese wedding or weddings in china, the groom’s family will be presenting various gifts to announce the engagement, and this will be in general with cakes as well as the food. Both the families of the bride and the groom will be sending the cakes named as the double happiness cakes to their friends and the relatives accompanying invitations.
The Chinese tea
China is filled with many different traditions along with the ethnic sections or ethnic minorities and this is the reason why all Chinese weddings are the same. At any Chinese wedding, the main part of the marriage or the wedding is the celebration of the two that is the bride and the groom and this, in general, happens though many courses of food which is yummy and delicious. There is a special program at the Chinese wedding which is very interesting and that is the tea ceremony. Both the bride and the groom’s family are introduced during the tea ceremony formally and they drink the tea together. The Chinese tea which they drink is named as the Tsao Chun.
Wedding with many rituals
Together with the families perform the capping as well as the hairdressing ritual for both the groom and the bride and this is common in many cultures. Bridesmaids block the groom when he enters the brides’ house and then the tea ceremony goes on. After the completion of the tea ceremony, the couple will be receiving the red envelope which they consider as lucky and it is filled with some money and also jewelry.

On the night of the wedding, the room for the newlyweds will be lit with the phoenix and the dragon candle. Two cups filled with wine are tied together with the red string from which the couple drink and this is said to be the first night for the couple as husband and wife.
